Comdt. Brian McKevitt RIP

ARCOIreland regrets to inform its members of the death of Commandant Brian McKevitt of The Old Schoolhouse, Dundalk Street, Carlingford. At the Mater Private Hospital on 26 November 2018, peacefully, with his family. Very deeply regretted by his beloved wife Denise, sons Páraic, Domhnall and Brian, daughter Áine, daughters in law Nathaile, Audrey and Sheila, grandchildren Liam, Donnacha, Sunniva, Conor, Ronan and Joe, brother Terry and his wife Kay, brothers-in-law Dan and Jim, sisters-in-law Nora and Mary, nephews, nieces, relatives, Defence Forces comrades, and his many friends.

Brian was a member of 37 Cadet Class (1962-1964) and was commissioned on 28 September 1964.  He served in the General Training Depot, 3 Infantry Battalion and in the Cadet School.  He served as Platoon Commander Support Platoon A Company 6 Infantry Group in Cyprus (April to October 1966).

Reposing at his residence from 8pm to 10pm, Tuesday, 27 November, and from 12 noon to 10pm tomorrow Wednesday 28 November. Removal on Thursday morning to St. Michael’s Church, Carlingford arriving for Requiem Mass at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in St. Michael’s Cemetery. House private on Thursday morning please.
